Background
Ballbot, an unrecognized visionary sccomplishment.
Ballbot, a Carnegie Mellon Robotics Project (CMU), sparked an entire line of investigation and development in robotics over a decade ago—Omni Directional Balancing Robots.
However, as the scientific community was introduced to this new vision of how robots could improve people’s lives, the absence of a brand relegated the project to a purely academic environment.
Roberto Shu, a CMU PhD student and one of the lead engineers of the project, initiated the conversation about the need for a change.

Brand Concept
A tribute to the creators and a flagship for the scientific community.
A balance between the modern and the traditional, Ballbot feels as if it has always been there, much like its enduring presence in the robotics and scientific community.
It is as deep as it is intriguing, fitting comfortably within academic circles yet remaining relevant and attractive to anyone captivated by technology.
A journey to place humans and robots side by side.
